Who’s the Baker?
I am Jessica. I have loved baking for most of my life. Creating delicious sweet treats has been the calm for me in the midst of many storms. I can’t wait to share my creations with you.
Why Haiku?
I used to write poetry extensively. A haiku is a very short poem with only three lines — five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five in the third.
Haiku Cookies specializes in shortbread cookies, which means that most of our delights are short and sweet, just like a haiku. Haikus are also balanced, with a symmetry of syllables in the first and last lines. I love desserts that have a balance between sweet and salty or sweet and spicy. I hope that you enjoy the balance as well.
